The Demonists is a dark, action-packed urban fantasy that dives straight into the world of demons, possession, and hidden battles between good and evil. I really enjoyed the fast pacing and cinematic feel—it reads like a supernatural thriller with plenty of chills. The husband-and-wife team at the center of the story was a refreshing change from the usual lone-wolf protagonists, and their dynamic added heart to the horror. While some of the violence and darkness may be a bit much for lighter fantasy readers, fans of gritty, demon-driven stories will find this an entertaining, atmospheric, and exciting ride.
