Robin Carr has been a favorite of mine and all my customers for a long time. She doesn’t disappoint with What We Find.
She is the one author my customers always want to talk about. When Virgin River was made into a series it only made people more excited and wanting by to reread all her books.
Keep them coming! We want to talk for years to come.

For many years I have been a huge fan of Robyn Carr I started up with the end of Virgin River Series and quickly flew through the Thunder Point Series and with this new series Sullivan's Crossing I found myself loving everything about it.

In this book we meet Maggie Sullivan whose having a really bad day she is being sued for death of a teenager, she lost her boyfriend and her baby all in one swoop. So when her friend Jaycee recommends Maggie go home to her father's house for some much need rest and recovery Maggie decides that might be the best thing for her.

Cal Jones is in Sullivan's Crossing trying to recover after suffering some live altering situations, and to plan what he will do next the last thing he counted on was meeting Maggie Sullivan or falling for her.

I love how this series like her other ones doesn't solely make these stories just about romance in this book it is about families and relationships Cal and Maggie both have family issues they need to work through to get to their happy place. I love the depths of characters in this book and how they thrive on what they are good at and don't obsess on the bad stuff or let it pull them down! Can't wait to see what is next for Sullivan's Crossing!

WHAT WE FIND is the beginning of another heart-warming small town saga from Robyn Carr. She’s my “most read” author, so yep, I enjoy her books very much.

This series is set in Colorado, at a place called Sullivan’s Crossing, located near the intersection of the Continental Divide trail & Colorado trail. How gorgeous would that place be? *sigh* Yet another Robyn Carr location I want to live in…

At Sullivan’s Crossing, there’s a campground and general store, and it’s all run by Sully, a cantankerous yet kindhearted guy who’s been there forever. It’s to Sullivan’s Crossing that Sully’s daughter, Maggie, returns, during a turbulent time of loss and great stress in her life. At the campground she encounters the very private Cal, someone else searching for calm and healing.

The easy pacing of this book was enjoyable, giving readers time to get to know the characters and the beautiful setting. Maggie is a strong and courageous woman, and if I was ever in trouble, I’d want her on my side. I was touched by Cal’s back story and was rooting for him to find happiness again.

I didn’t think the plot was particularly strong, though I know what the two main characters were headed for. Things had to be worked through. Closure first, then possibly a second chance at love? WHAT WE FIND is a solid start to the Sullivan’s Crossing series, and I’d recommend it to any fan of romantic women’s fiction. When neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan's life starts to implode she goes to her father's campground in Sullivan's Crossing. Maggie doesn't know her father well and his life at the campground is far removed from her own. When her father, Sully, has a heart attack, another camper, Cal Jones, steps up and helps with the place. Cal is mysterious, but very helpful. These two damaged souls begin to develop feelings for one another, making them hope for something more.

A great book to start a series! While the setting wasn't as appealing to me as Virgin River or Thunder Point, I really liked the characters and the storyline. I look forward to more of the series!

Robyn Carr is one of my favorites and this book lets you know why. I really enjoyed this story. The characters are delightful and real. The story had lots of emotion including but not limited to love, laughter, sweetness, understanding and so much more. It makes you believe in love and want to fall all over again.

The story isn’t perfect. Well I guess I should say the writing isn’t because the middle of the book was pretty wordy for no reason. It didn’t add anything but did slow the book down a bit. Cal could have had a bit more personality but all that being said I really enjoyed the story.

Can’t wait to read the next in the series.
