Amelia and Logan are beautifully flawed characters who deserve love and happiness. Although they have some opposite characteristics and butt heads, their contrasting personalities and traits allow for them to mesh in delightful ways.

This story was sweet and pleasant, and reading it felt like coming home. I loved to see the other characters from Book 1 mingling throughout the book. This is an enjoyable story--one that is easy to settle in with, like visiting with old friends.

Content: mild romance; mild religion

Have you ever read or watched something that left you blanketed in an unshakable warmth? If you have, then you can understand my reaction to the second novel in the Walker Family series – one of pure swoon worthy delight!

Taking the old wise saying of “never judge a book by its cover” to heart was hard to do when I picked up this book for the first time. Because when a book has a cover as beautiful as Like Never Before has, it’s got to be an awesome read, right? 😉

This novel – with its theme of family, renewed faith, and enduring love – swept me away from the book slump I was in and transported me back into the world of all the reasons why I love reading this type of fiction. Or more specifically, why I love reading from Melissa Tagg.

The leading characters of this novel were so fun and engaging to connect with. I loved how their relationship flowed just so, making me all the more root and cheer for them. And I enjoyed seeing past characters from the Walker Family series make occasional re-appearances throughout the story. In a sum, I loved this novel!

With a cast of characters that are sure to win your heart, and a story that is beyond charming, Like Never Before is one of those novels that hits the right spot. I look forward to reading the rest of this series!

This is the second book in the the Walker Family series by Melissa Tagg. I love a good historical fiction and have been an avid reader of that genre for some time. But between Melissa Tagg and Becky Wade, they’ve turned my eyes to modern Christian fiction. I’m hooked!

Amelia Bentley is the editor of a small town newspaper whose time is coming to an end. Logan Walker is the reluctant new owner of the newspaper. He just wants to shut it down or sell it so he can move on to bigger things; Running a presidential campaign. So when Logan and his daughter come to visit family and get the paper in order, Amelia has her chance to try to convince him that the paper is worth saving.

I love this series! I love the characters. This is the second book I’ve read recently with a single father and daughter :) The cover art is beautiful and cozy. I also really enjoyed the whole mysterious story of that Amelia and Logan chase down, as well as, the road trip.

Newspapers have always been fascinating to me. I wrote for my high school paper in Tennessee, did 4H newspaper projects and also spent a semester writing for my college paper at Lee University. Add into that my love for Superman/Clark Kent and I’m a little obsessed with newsprint.

I highly recommend this book, the previous one From the Start and Melissa Tagg’s other series Made to Last and Here to Stay!

I was given a copy of this book in return for posting a review. But I would have read it anyways :)

5 Stars!!!
If you know me at all then you probably know just how much I LOVE Melissa Tagg's books! Like Never Before was no exception! I was so excited to read this book, having fallen completely in love with the Walker family and the entire town of Maple Valley, Iowa! As soon as I turned the first page I found myself sighing in happiness, and thinking "Wow it feels like forever since I've gotten to visit this town and these characters."
While I liked Logan in book one of the series I didn't fall in love until this book! I mean, come on, a gorgeous guy who will ILL a book as a surprise for you! What's not to love? I was glad to learn his story, even though the sadness of his past did bring tears to my eyes at times! It's really interesting because I actually found myself relating to Logan quite a lot, I too have a tendency to blame myself and feel guilt for everything that goes wrong, so the message in this book impacted me personally more than any non-fiction book ever could! I really liked Amelia too,(I especially loved that she loved in a barn!)and I thought she and Logan were a perfect match! Whenever I read one of Melissa's books I know I will end up laughing my head off all the way From the Start (Yes, pun based off the title of the first book in this series most definitely intended!) and that was exactly the case with Like Never Before, the banter was so witty and engaging that as soon as I finished laughing about one line I would wind up in stitches once again! Overall I absolutely loved Like Never Before, I feel like my review isn't even coming close to doing this amazing book justice, but for fear of spoiling something I will finish by saying this, Melissa's books are some of the most funny, entertaining, engaging, romantic, and yet incredibly deep and well rounded books that I have ever read! Folks, I'm serious you NEED to read her books NOW! :)
All fans of Melissa's books will not be disappointed with Like Never Before, my only complaint is the miserable year long wait that I will have to endure until the release of the next book! I can't wait to read Beckett's story when it releases next year but I have to admit that I am most excited for Raegan and Bear's story whenever it finally releases!!!!!!

I was honored to receive a review copy of this amazing book from Bethany House publishers in exchange for my honest review!

The setting descriptions were very strong and helped immerse me into the scenes. The conflict between the hero and heroine is built-in, complicating both of their lives. It was fun, since I was reading part of this book while visiting a town called Maple Valley, to find the same name in this novel and series.

Unfortunately, I found I didn’t care as much about the main characters as I wanted to. So, I gave up at about one-third of the way into the story. Because of this, I have very few notes from which to write a longer review.

Though this book wasn’t for me, I wish this author all the best.

I couldn’t finish this book, I like the author’s writing and have enjoyed many of their books before but this one wasn’t one I could get into. I will try again when the author’s next book is released as I am a fan of theirs.
