Plain-Jane computer programmer Khloe Richardson needs a date—one to make the prince of her dreams jealous. Maybe then he'll finally see her as a desirable swan and not the ugly duckling in the second office from the left.
When she bids on a bachelor at a charity auction, the man she wins is millionaire Niall Hunter—who she once spent an intense night with and then left without a word. She's determined not to let her guard down again—among other things—around the infamous Irish lothario. An intriguing read. And voluntarily leaving my review.

I really enjoyed reading this story where we have a case of falling for a best friend sister that grew up into a beautiful girl. Khloe and Niall are wonderfully built and I felt them like I read about real persons. In the past, their one night ended badly and they haven't talked after. After some time, they are face to face again and we have a chance to read about their hilarious back and forth banter and enjoy their sexy chemistry.
I loved this steamy, sweet, fun and in the end a bit teary story and can't wait to read something else from this new to me author

The story of Khloe and Niall. He was her brothers best friend. he should have kept away from her, but he didn't and then he broke her heart. Will he get a second chance with her several years later?

If someone would rather get a Brazilian than be in the company of another, you have to think that person did something really, really bad. To Khloe Richardson, Niall Hunter not only ruined her first experience but also their years-long friendship. Even after vanishing from her life for three years, Niall never forgot that night or the letter her brother, his best friend, left for him. Niall knew he wasn't good enough for Khloe. But, hello... did Niall give her the opportunity to give her opinion? Noooo... because Michael's letter said so. UGH. But that one night never left Niall. Now that he's serendipitously back in her life, he aids in her transformation, not because he doesn't like how she looks. Niall realizes that Khloe has no knowledge of how beautiful she is and proceeds to show her. They were so meant to end up together. The attraction was there and so was the chemistry. They get the best surprise at their wedding. It's like even fate knew Niall and Khloe were meant for happily ever after.

I received a complimentary copy of this book at my request and voluntarily left this review.

This story uses the ugly duckling and best friend’s little sister tropes plus a whole LOT of angst. How the title applies is because the millionaire hero undergoes a latent but eventual emotional makeover. While I wouldn’t call Khloe meek, I would have liked her to have more fire, less reactionary to Niall’s behaviours. This book has steam and did I mention the angst? I would love to see if Khloe’s friend, Morgan, gets a story!

This book starts right in with the emotional stuff and stays pretty intense all the way through. Niall has a lot of guilt over something that wasn't really his fault and something that was. He does not believe that he is worthy of Khloe's love, so he sabotages it. It takes realizing that he may truly lose Khloe to someone else to wake him up and to make Khloe question what she truly wants out of life. The ending was so sweet!

Khloe, has been in love with Niall, her brother best friend, for a long time.
They had one night together.
Now, she needs his help, to win a man, she thinks, she loves.
Niall will help her, even if it kills him......
I enjoyed the storyline of this book very much.

This is the first book I've read by the author and it will not be my last. It's because I loved this book. Khloe and Niall are so dang hot together. I loved that Niall is such an alpha, and of course, that makes the tension, attraction and chemistry scorching hot! I loved that it's also a second chance and all the feels these two and their story gave me.

This was my first book by Naima Simone, and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. After reading The Millionaire Makeover, I just fell in love with the writing.

In this story we meet Niall and Khloe. Khloe is a very plain and unfashionable little sister of Niall’s late best friend that passed away. Three years ago after his passing the two had an extremely hot and unforgettable one-night stand, and he pushed her away the next morning. Because, she’s the little sister of his best friend, it’s forbidden. Or he keeps telling himself.

Flash forward three years to when the two are reconnected. She ends up winning him at a bachelor charity auction unexpectedly and knows she must not let her guard down again and chance being hurt again. He cannot believe the transformation before his eyes when his best friends little sister wins him at the auction. He knows he must keep his distance so he is a little bit of a jerk to her, but his attraction to her is unbreakable. All she wanted to do was get the attention of her prince charming co-worker, but now with Niall back in her life she doesn’t know what to do to keep the worlds they both live in separate and decide if Niall is worth a 2nd chance, or she should just stick with her plan to woooo Mr. Right down the hall. Once the two start to pretend to be together to try and attract this person to her, Niall can’t give it up and can’t get enough of it. It’s only in their pretend that their true feelings start to come out.

I love these two characters and their devastating tortured past they share and their questionable future that may lie ahea

Khloe knew Niall since she was seven years old. He was her brother’s best friend and was a constant fixture in her life. One night changed everything and years later she can barely look at the man who tore her heart to pieces with one callous act. As she tries to change her life, Niall is once again a temporary fixture. Will she ever forgive him or will she continue to hold him accountable for the past? Great story on second chances and letting love into your heart.

Naima Simone's novel engaged from beginning to end with well developed characters attempting to overcome emotional hurdles in this passionate romance between Khloe and Niall!

I didn’t enjoy this book at all mostly because I didn’t like Khloe. So, the first guy Niall, hot Irish man, and her brothers best friend, takes her virginity and kicks her out of his apartment the next day with some story about not being what she deserves. Three years later the other guy Bennett that she supposedly likes now, doesn’t notice her until her goes through a makeover. Niall pushes her to get a makeover and wear makeup so that Bennett notices her then after he wants her for himself. I found just found Khloe to be a pushover. I didn’t like Niall because of the way he treated her after the 1st time they had sex and I didn’t like how he pushed her to get a makeover, life why didn’t he like her just the way she was?

LOVED this book! This is a quick read that is a part of the Bachelor Auction series - and who wouldn't love a series with a bachelor auction in it? In it, Khloe's friend bids on a bachelor for her to have an escort for a company function. However, the bachelors are masked and Khloe doesn't know who her bachelor is until his mask comes off.... He is a man from her past and she walks away, but this time he follows her. What follows is a fun and thoroughly entertaining novel with just enough angst to make it feel real. I was turning pages just as quickly as possible. Put this one at the top of your TBR list, you'll be glad you did. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel.

I voluntarily read an ARC and am voluntarily writing my review. Now let's begin.

I love me a good best friend's sibling romance. Heck when I saw that it was up for review I needed to request it. I finished it pretty quickly because it was short and I was glued to the book.
Niall was the best friend of Khloe's brother. They were both friends to, until they gave in to their attraction and had a falling out. Predictable really.
While I did enjoy reading this book, it did fall a bit short. I was expecting more from this read. Like I mentioned, it was predictable and had a feeling I knew how it would end. I wish Niall worked harder to win Khloe over.
All in all, not bad.

I really wanted to like The Millionaire Makeover (book 2 in the Bachelor Auction series), and I'm not even dissapointed by the "can't lust after my best friends little sister" trope, which is hard enough to do right anymore. .but I just couldn't finish this book. I really wanted to because it had potential with the quiet mousy computer geek girl who is actually smoking hot but the idea that she needed or wanted a fake paid for date to hopefully capture the long awaited attention from her sexy playboy boss just put the clichés over the top for me. However, since it was well written many may find this type exactly what they're looking for so I'm not writing this off completely.

I absolutely love The Millionaire Makeover! It has one of my favorite tropes: older brother's best friend/little sister, it's well written with good pacing, and most of all has 2 likable characters that share hot chemistry and a nice emotional bond. Khloe is the little sister in question. She's a smart, but hiding her beauty, programmer who had been in love with her older brother Michael's best friend, Niall, forever, until the day he kicked her out of his home after Michael's death. After Michael's death, both Khloe and Niall are grieving fiercely. When Khloe turns up in Ireland a month after Michael's death, things get heated and Niall ends up taking her virginity, then, in a fit of guilt, ushers her out of his home the next day and never contacts her again. Now, it's three years later and her best friend is determined to purchase a hot bachelor for her at an auction, in hopes of that bachelor helping Khloe in her quest to get her boss to notice her as more than an employee. That Niall ends up being the bachelor Morgan purchases, is fate, karma, what have you and the ensuing relationship that develops is sexy, emotional and a little sweet, especially the ending, which is pretty amazing.

I love that Niall has to work his tail off to get Khloe back and that she uses him at first for the sole purpose of getting her boss, Bennett, to notice her. When they first see each other again, the first thing she says to him is "I'd rather have a Brazilian than go on a date with him." Yep, Khloe is amazing, she's sassy and feisty underneath her deliberately plain Jane exterior. Niall, too, is pretty likable, once his rather cold exterior is chipped away. Khloe hadn't known three years ago, that Niall was working on a major guilt trip for breaking a promise to Michael, that he would protect Khloe and find her someone to love her and protect her, someone who wasn't himself. Yes, Michael left something from beyond the grave for Niall to obsess over. He left him a letter with explicit instructions on how to care for Khloe. Niall didn't know, though, that Michael had an even more sneaky agenda for that letter, though, and when it's revealed, the ending is all the more sweet. I think that Michael, unseen as he is, is actually my favorite character in The Millionaire Makeover. I wish there had been a book about him before he passed.

If older brother's best friend/little sister, or second chance romances are your thing, I highly advise you to pick up The Millionaire Makeover!

What a great book... and yes I am partial to Naima. She can't write a bad book. I read this in one sitting.
Another winner in the Bachelor Auction series. Khloe and Niall. A couple with history and a not so great one. When Khloe's friend tries to set her up with her dream guy at the auction, let's say it just backfires and she ends up with Niall. A man who still holds her in contempt and the feeling is mutual.
Niall and her brother were best friends and after he dies, they have that one night of bliss and Niall pushes her away. Khloe shuts off after that and sees Niall as nothing more than a player. Which he is, yet she enlists him to try and get the attention of a man she has her eye on. Niall is having none of that, he's an ass about it, pretty much like everything else. Niall is torn between keeping his promise to her older brother and best friend who died, to look after her and make sure she has someone worthy of her goodness. That leaves him out. Seriously though, these two steamed it up, Naima can write the wicked smoking scenes. As reticent as Khloe is about Niall I can't say I would have been as readily forgiving as she seemed after the way he treated her. And surely I would question his motivation. Nonetheless, this is a great book 2 in the series. I loved it and would highly recommend this book and also book one.
