More like 3.5 stars, mainly because I felt like the lead characters had some unrealistic dialogue at certain points. That said, the way this romance unfolded was wonderful. It was nowhere near the nasty instalove trope that permeates YA and New Adult. I really loved Jordan and Brooks, but the side characters (Nala, Malcom, Hunter, Ashton, Mason) were extremely present and well fleshed out. The thing with Ashton's illness was scary, real and heartbreaking. The ending was mushy, but that's to be expected in a romance. I liked it but I didn't LOVE, it hence the 3.5 stars. I will be reading the next one though and I would recommend it. :)
