Ten months after Delilah "Lila" Horton found her husband of thirteen years cheating on him, snapped a photo, and posted it all over their small town, she finds herself divorced and living in a three bedroom apartment with her twins Elin and Elena, working part time at her best friend, Amy May's pastry shop and as a photographic investigator for local PI, Moose.
Moose seems to be a bit of a shut-in, who uses Lila as his eyes by sending her out to take photos of other cheating spouses, thieves and anyone else who may need their services. While following a woman that Moose has asked her to get photos of, she discovers a suburban drug ring. But is noticed by the guy behind it. Trying to get away, a tall, big, sexy man on a motorcycle comes to her rescue. This guy is thirty eight year old, Hawaiian, Cade Wilkes. Cade has been with the MC's for over 20 years, but has started to slowly break away from their everyday business. After spotting Lila a couple of times, and rescuing her from her recent encounter with, who will turn out to be a really bad guy, he asks her out.
As Lila and Cade get closer, we are introduced to her posse of BFF's, Amy May, Bea, a cop in town, and journalist Carmen Santos, who they will all become friends with.
Lila is smart and sassy, but can find trouble even in their small town without looking for it. But all her ills can be cured with cupcakes from Amy Mays shop. And getting the BFF discount is everything she can ask for.
With a budding new relationship, slowly getting over her grudge against her cheating ex-husband, and running into trouble with a Mexican drug cartel, what else can happen to Lila?
This was cute and fun. I really enjoyed it. Feels like it could be a television show like Claws on TNT. I would love to watch this group of women get into trouble each week.
