Genny had no choice. It was either become a mail-order bride or stay in Massachusetts with no job or any way to support herself. She is an orphan, just wants a family and a place to call home. Stuart lost his wife 6 months before and was left with 2 children. He needs a wife quick and doesn't want to have an emotional attachment to her. Been there, done that. Genny and Stuart both think they can live that way, but it is much harder than they thought.
