A book from World War One has a General delay his attack which led to the deaths of 122,oo0 men most from the 79th division who thought that when they were advancing so were others. Here you have stories from men that were there and also how General Pershing saved his West Point friend Genaral Bullard from any punishment. After reading this I really changed my view on Pershing since he would take other officers out of the field prior to this and also demote or send them back to the U.S. A good book that I really did not know much about.

This is a brutal, no holds barred look at World War I’s Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Walker takes you right in the trenches for the battle, as well as out of them for a closer look at the General in charge. Extremely well written and researched, I think this is a must for any history fan, especially if you love WW1. Highly recommended.
