Looking toward my own empty nest in a few years, this book caught my eye. The author details her own transition to a not-so-full nest and what it meant for her marriage, career, interests, and shifting relationships with her children.

The book had a lot of good information and advice. I found the section on revitalizing friendships to be my favorite... it’s harder to build new relationships as adults, and it’s a good reminder of the importance. Some of the sections didn’t apply as much to me but others may find them helpful. As other reviewers have mentioned, the book didn’t seem to flow well... some of it was a rehash of blog posts and perhaps I would have liked it more in that format.

All in all, if you’re a woman in this life stage, it’s worth a peek to guide you through your own transition.
