I lost interest in reading this book. I don't understand Spanish and it made it very hard to comprehend and empathize with the poetry. I think I would give this book another chance if I could relate to it.

I'm so glad this has been done. The side by side of the poetry allows you enjoy the original language and admire Randall's skillful translation. This is a great collection with excellent selections illustrating the variety and beauty of Cuban poetry not widely available.

This was so good! I'm so glad I was able to read this collection because my Spanish is really rusty and it gave me the opportunity to brush up on it a little too.
