This is the 10th & final book in Brenda Novak’s Whiskey Creek series. It tells the story of India, a widow & single mom, and Rod, a mechanic and one of the Amos brothers from the previous books.
I really enjoy the first few books in the Whiskey Creek series, sort of tolerated the middle ones, and was a little leery of starting #10; however, I totally loved it. India is such a great, complex character, and Rod turns out to be so much more than he ever seemed in the previous books.
This book had a bit of the mystery/thriller feel of Novak’s romantic suspense novels, and I really enjoyed it.
Will definitely recommend to patrons! Probably to romance, suspense, and mystery lovers.

Yeah, another fantastic book! And while I'm not sure if there's going to be another book since it's been so long since this book came out, and there's been a few other books that she's written since, but I still want more of this series! There's still so much that could happen in this series!
This is another book in the series where it doesn't really focus on the main group of friends, and there's been a few of those in the series, mainly Come Home to Me, that focus on other characters, the Amos brothers. A reason why I want more books in this series!
Cassia has had a hard time. She had an ex-boyfriend who came into her home, killed her husband and threatened her daughter. Plus her in-laws were, well, pretty awful. Plus, the trial didn't convict the guy, so he's still a problem. So yeah, loved Cassia and Rod together!
There was also some scenes developing another couple, which is yet another reason why I want an 11th book. Since they were step-siblings, well, they aren't related, but there's still some social stigma attached there. But things weren't resolved, and I want more!
This book was just so great, and I enjoyed reading it so much! More would be so excellent!

This wonderful addition to the Whiskey Creed Series has widowed India Sommers moving to Whiskey Creek with her daughter. She feels responsible for the death of her beloved husband, who was shot by an ex-boyfriend of India. When she becomes attracted to bad boy Rod Amos after moving to Whiskey Creek, she tries to keep her distance. She knows if she becomes involved with another bad boy, her in-laws will try to gain custody of her daughter. On top of this, the hung jury in her ex boyfriend's trial has him free again and puts her back in danger. Her new life in Whiskey Creek is suddenly very complicated.
This book has great suspense and a sweet and touching romance. It showcases a great balance of the two!
