This memoir was a good read, although at times it seemed a little slow. I empathized with Donsky as she detailed her confusion and loneliness following her mother's death, imagining how difficult of a time that must have been in her life. Her references to Nancy Drew made me smile, as it was a favorite of my childhood. Well-written story where the author's voice and story truly came through.
