Another old forgotten review.

I actually liked this series quite a lot. It dealt with many heart felt issues. In this one we get Jon Buchanan and Isaac Gregory. Jon has his own issues and he was working through them. One way he was trying to cope was have only sex within porn and not a relationship. That was working for a bit until his past came to work.

With John we also get his friendship with Henry and also Gabe. I loved hearing more on Gabe and Tristan as that story had so much heart.

Henry's cancer was very sad and I loved his character. Though through his character we get his unknown new to him grandson Isaac. Before Henry dies he wants to meet Isaac. And poor Isaac has own personal tragedy and many take away scars with it.

Isaac has so many issues and phobias that it breaks your heart. Thankfully the bond between Jon and Henry help him work through some of them. I did quite like this story and the relationship between Jon and Isaac. Though I could have done without any giggling. Never a fan of giggling ever in fiction. Never.

This was my first read by A.M. Arthur, and it was wonderful. It is the third book of a series but can be read as standalone, although you will get glances into the lives of the already established couples. The characters are easily likeable and feel real.

In this book, there is Jon, who has gone through so much and is struggling with the aftermath of the events he had to live through. Seeing him grieve, I just wanted him to find happiness, or at least some relief. I felt every single emotion he had right along with him.

And there is Isaac. He as well faces his own demons, is broken in this own way and has only an ounce of self-confidence. Meeting Jon was the best to happen to him – he starts to blossom, to finally start living his life, all while forming a slowly progressing bond with John.

It is an emotional journey with complex protagonists – be it in terms of character, job occupation or phobias or handicaps –, drama and suspense, a bit of violence, healing and even first time sex, cough, cough.
