Lois McMaster Bujold has never failed to draw me into the worlds she creates and with Penric's Demon, she has done it again. In this fantasy, we meet Penric, who is destined for great things, but whose fate takes a turn that he never expected. Ms. Bujold builds this world and it's rules, and her characters are so compelling you care about what happens to them. Penric has now become a series and I highly recommend this one and all of them.
