It's been awhile since I've read a Sarah Morgan but I remember enjoying the third book in this series so I thought it was time I tried this one. I love books involving friendship and I liked seeing Paige, Frankie (book 2), and Eva (book 3)'s relationship. Paige and Jake have been friends a long time. A bit of a complication was put on it when Paige propositioned Jake when she was 18 but for the most part they worked through it. Now Paige needs Jake's help and that help puts them in close contact and the attraction they've both been fighting stops being an issue. The relationship is a bit heavier on spice than emotional connection than I would prefer. We hear a lot about Paige's issues but I'd like to have had Jake's past dealt with a bit more. I do enjoy Sarah Morgan's writing and am looking forward to reading the next books in the series.

This is my second read in the From Manhattan With Love series, but it's actually the first book in the series. I read read out of order and didn't feel like I missed out on much by doing so.

In this story we follow Paige, who has just been let go from her job as an event planner at a large corporation. She was trying to prove herself in the industry before starting out on her own, but with this recent job loss and the encouragement from her brothers friend/her longtime crush so takes the plunge into owning her own business with her BFFs.

That part of the story is exciting because you root for Paige's new company to thrive. And seeing her create it with her best friends was so fun! But the icing on the cake is the friends to lovers relationship that happens between Paige and Jake. The scenes between them are quite steamy.

One of my favourite aspects of this story is the friendship group. The three girls, Paige's brother and his best friend have weekly movie nights and game nights. This group is a big part of the storyline as they lovers worry about how their romance will affect the group as a whole too.

Looking forward to more in this series!

I am sorry for not reviewing fully but I don’t have the time to read this anymore. I believe that it wouldn't benefit you as a publisher or your book if I only skimmed it and wrote a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for not fully reviewing!

Paige Walker spent her childhood in and out of hospitals, but she is now determined to conquer Manhattan. At the same time, she has a huge crush on her brother’s best friend, Excellently drawn minor characters. Very fun light read.

Good girlfriends who start their own business with some sexy romance on the side?

This book totally has the makings for a great beach read!

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Paige as a MC and her love of her friends and wanting to do anything for them. I also really enjoyed her backstory and the relationship she has with Jake. Yes there were some hot scenes but the book is about more than that and that’s what I really appreciated.

Sometimes it seems like these romance books are all about sex and there’s absolutely no storyline (I’m looking at you 50 Shades). I need more than that and Sleepless in Manhattan definitely has it. The only problem is that I need MORE. I don’t want to wait around to find out what happens to the other girls!

If you’re spending a lot of time by the pool or beach this summer you’re going to want to take this book along with you!

Sincere thanks to Netgalley and Harlequin for giving me this book for an honest review.

This is a light, simple reading book with many clichés, but it's a pleasure to read it. As the first of the series, it lays the foundations of what we will see in the 6 books that compose it, as well as we will know the characters of the following books.

On this last point, I have to say that the secondary characters have their own personality and spark, which causes you to want to continue reading the series. In addition, the interactions between Paige and Jake and vice versa, as well as those of the main characters with their respective friends, is impeccable and without big dramas. The harmony between the main and secondary characters is evident and the chemistry between Paige and Jake is very good.

What I liked most is that it has an enjoyable, fun plot (of course, it is romantic comedy) and good development. On the other hand, as a follower of Harlequin, I had already read books by this author written for Harlequin Presents, and the most recent ones had been boring and lacking the spark of her first books. With this format, the author has more freedom to create and her writing has been refreshed. For the lovers of the books that reminds you 'Friends" and who adore the romantic comedies, this is the book.

I couldn't finish this, I just couldn't. I read so many reviews on how amazing the author and the writing are, which was why I'd requested this for review a while back, but I kept stopping it a couple of pages in, and this time I'm giving up for good.
The characters felt so flat, and the storytelling was so dull. I could tell there were meant to be a lot of moments of humor, and sadness and stuff, but I felt nothing. I was so irritated with the characters (all of them) and what they were saying or doing. I think my biggest issue was I didn't feel as if the 3rd person suited what the author was trying to convey. It made everything all the more annoying. I couldn't get past the first couple of chapters to be honest, though I did try to skip ahead a little to see if things improved... they didn't. This just wasn't for me.

Super cute read! Great characters, interesting story, & a great HEA. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Sleepless in Manhattan has one of my favorite tropes in romance. The sister and the brother's best friend who have grown up together finally admit that they belong together. I was really looking forward to reading Paige and Jake's story. Unfortunately, I really didn't love this book as much as I wanted to.

For me, the pacing of the story was kind of slow. In the first hundred pages, not a lot happens. I didn't really buy into Jake and Paige together. Jake isn't into commitment. He is a jerk to Paige through most of the book. It got tiring after a while. Why would she pine for someone like that? Paige was also a bit too independent for my taste and made some really dumb decisions.

The one thing that I did like about the book was the friendship between the three women. Their relationship was fun and endearing. I liked Eva and Frankie the most and they almost make me want to read the other books in the series. Hopefully, their stories will be a bit more exciting, because this one was just really wasn't. -Kari

This book was, over all, pretty nice and sweet. Sarah Morgan can write lovely characters that you just want to know, plus she has a true talent to make the setting feel like another character - in this case New York City.

Paige was super competent at her work but she could also be pretty stubborn, though I could always see where she was coming from. Her relationship with Eva and Frankie were definitely highlights of the book. I just love with when a book does a good job of portraying female friendships.

Jake was a bit infuriating at times, but he was all in all a good man who cared deeply for the people in his life even if he didn’t always go about it the best way. I liked his relationship with Paige and her friends and how it was somewhat separate from his relationship with Paige’s brother Matt.

Like you could tell they were all friends because they wanted to be, not just because life had thrown them together, which is nice.

Where the story hit a bit of a wall with me was in the romantic plot. Mostly because the only thing keeping Paige and Jake from being together were... themselves, there was no real external conflict and the internal conflict was resolved a bit too quickly given the amount of trouble it caused.
