I liked the connection between Kylie and Jaxson. They have some good chemistry and there’s also some really sweet moments between the two. Also, there’s some sexy times; some intense scenes. I do think she let her libido make her decisions to often; I would’ve like for her to keep her head better. I usually love the whole secret black ops type organization, but this group was too much of a perverted boys club. The guys all come across horribly, and I felt Kylie came across as a moron for wanting anything to do with this group. She’s set to avenge the murder of her father though, so she’s not exactly thinking clearly. The group thinks she betrayed them, so they have set out to kill her, but she’s on a dangerous mission of her own and is doing an okay job of staying out of the danger zone. There’s chapters in the present; with her on the run, and then there’s chapters that take place in the past. The past scenes are pretty much assassin training scenes and the development of the romance. I liked the Paris setting; catacombs scenes are always entertaining and fun, and I loved the action scenes. I enjoyed the mystery of what really happened in the past; even though it’s pretty obvious that a simple conversation would clear up a lot of the issues. Overall, this is an engaging story that kept me reading.

The plot in general was good. The romance was ok. Did not felt nothing towards them. What botters me was: why she was recruited?? And the TORC's moto was weak I did not get it and was like a children academic.
Also her comments about Physo-the psychologist and her boss was disrespectful. She was mad with them about what?? It is her job to do was she told.

An awesome beginning to a great new series!! Kylie is a young woman dead set on getting revenge for her fathers death. She sets out to train and learn for the best at a "secret" special ops organization. In the process of her training, she ends up falling for and betraying the man she loves. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I'm lookin forward to reading other books from this series.

This is the first novel that I have read by Michele Mannon but certainly not the last. I really like this book an couldn't put it down. It wa fast paced , intense and the chemistry between Kylie and Jaxson was HOT. Plus I love a kick ass heroine , who is smart , loving and sarcastic. I look foreword to getting to know the other characters from the Ranch and can't wait for the next one.

I've read Hit Man, and it was great. This book though, I was not a fan. I disliked the back and forth on the timeline. Some times, I felt lost, or left behind. Or just plain bored. It just was not as thrilling as Hit Man, in my opinion. I felt no connection or liking of the characters. It was hard to want to know more about them, when I felt it was dragging on. There wasn't anything that made me want to connect with them. I'm not saying it's an awful book, it just was no for me. I'm off to try the other book in this series though! Since I was so into the 3rd, the 1st did nothing for me, I'm hoping book 2 will be a win for me!
