A lovely little book about being a pre-teen and teenager in the Bronx from 1963 to 1973 a decade that really changed things in America. It gave me a bit of insight on an era that I didn't get to experience, I was born in '73. Through his writing you get to experience the shock of hearing that President Kennedy was shot, hearing The Beatles play on the radio for the first time, and worrying about your siblings going off to fight in Vietnam. While it's not something I'll read again, I'm glad I had the chance to read it, the book seriously held my attention the only reason it took so long to get through it was I had to stop to do other things.
