Soldier by Julie Kagawa

Soldier is the third book in the Talon series be Julie Kagawa, which I have really been enjoying and I've even recommended the series to some teens at the library who are having so much reading it! Bonus, all the books are now out so it's the perfect time to use this series to hook someone on the YA fantasy genre. Plus, the ending is ROUGH so it's nice to be able to grab the next book right away. It's worth warning readers that Julie Kagawa puts her characters through a lot, so this is not for the faint of heart.

I loved learning more about Garrett's background. I was a bit worried about how things would go for him and Ember after the events of the last book, but I was happy with all I got to see of them. Ember spends a lot of book still trying to find balance between her human and dragon sides, and I don't want to spoil anything but I like the journey her character is on. Again, this book ends in a heart-wrenching kind of way so make sure you've got the next book ready! Great writing and storytelling, as always!

Been going through my old netgalley requests and seeing what I have forgotten to give a review to and what I still need to read. I don't recall requesting this book or why. I haven't read the first books in the series and reading the synopsis present me doesn't have the same interest in this title as past me did.
