A simple story that just didn't quite work for me. The characters fell a bit flat, and while the heroine's brother is wallowing in his new status as a disabled person, his sister and her new boyfriend's reaction and insistence that a new foal would make him come back to life feels...ableist and infantile. I get where they are coming from, but I ended up far more annoyed with our loving couple than anything else.
