I love the Assassins books. I've been following Toni's career since the beginning and her writing has improved so much. Her storytelling is perfect. The characters are likeable and relateable.

This book is a hat trick! Great male lead in Benji, a great female lead in Lucy, and a great story that follows them both. You learn about Lucy Sinclair in the Bellvue Bullies series. She is a magnificent interior designer and a mother who is not looking for a relationship at all. Though I think that is how it usually goes, when you aren’t looking for one you seem to find one. That is where Benji comes in, he plays hockey for the Assassin’s with one of Lucy’s brothers. Toni definitely writes super swoony guys who are smooth talkers and Benji is no exception. However I think the best part of this book is the fact that Lucy is such a strong female lead. Though things aren’t quite going the way she wants them to for the majority of the book she stays strong. This was yet another great read.
