This is a novella, and so the plot and character elements are understandably undersketched. That being said, Mignon's relationship with her father was more fleshed out than her relationship with Rory. It was a light and easy read for a winter's afternoon, and I'll seek out more in the series.

Being the second book of the author’s I’ve read I have to say I liked this one too. Once again I’m a bit biased towards this genre thus it could be affected by the ratings.
