Unfortunately, this was a DNF for me. I know the author said up front that her books are escapism, but even with that disclaimer, I couldn’t get past the first short story. It was way too outlandish and weird. The author also said that the narrative dialogue was the same way her characters would speak to one another, and that was ridiculous too. It felt a bit like she wanted to come up with outrageously funny one-liners and fell flat. Sorry this one wasn’t for me!

The title tells it all. Was expecting a bit more but felt the story a bit immature and typical. Thus I wasn’t so much into it as I would have expected.

After having this book on my shelf for a long time I ended up losing interest on it so I won't be reading this one.
