I was browsing through my kindle looking for some books to cross off my TBR and came across a Megan Hart book with a femdom plot that I decided would definitely be worthwhile reading material - and of course she never disappoints! It's the story of Corinne and Reese, a second chance romance for a relationship that ended badly the first time around. Corinne is older than Reese and is the first lover with whom he realizes he likes to submit to women. What they have is special but forbidden, and only in their second go around are they mature enough to see that they never would have stayed together before. There are a lot of emotions to work through when they get together the second time - anger, hurt, grief. There are steamy scenes of course, with the DS of BDSM the main theme and flashbacks to their first relationship but this is a romance and there is a happy ending for the couple. I enjoyed it!

I enjoyed Corinne and Reese’s story quite a bit. I loved the fact that Corinne was the dominant one. I haven’t read many, if any books like that before. While she was in charge in the bedroom, it wasn’t degrading, and I loved her nicknames for Reese. Corinne and Reese were lovers over 15 years ago. The reason for their breakup is unknown to the reader for most of the book. Fast forward through two children and a divorce and Corinne comes face to face with Reese when he shows interest in buying out the company she works for. I liked both characters, strong in their own ways and their dynamic together was great. My only complaint is that the ending was very abrupt and on top of that there was no epilogue. I was left wanting….wanting to see a glimpse a few years down the road. (3.75 stars)
