As the second in the series, Heart of Steel starts mid-story, but still leaves plenty of room for our hero and heroine to have their full love story. Adam Steel and Honeysuckle Hawk have worked together for some time, but Honeysuckle's continued attraction to Adam has her resigning to try to get over her feelings. That, of course, doesn't work so well when they two end up in a foreign country attempting to protect a jewel surrounded by their company's security measures. There's definitely intrigue, and plenty of it, but I will say the overall flow of the story is broken up uncomfortably with jumps to the villain's storyline, and his backstory.
