This novel started off strong, but sadly my interest began to dwindle about half-way through. I enjoyed the first couple chapters where the character's meet, but was irritated by the numerous sub-plots that appeared. I do not feel that the main male, who is a bit arrogant, having an illness added anything what so ever to the plot of this story. If anything, it detracted. The novel could have ended several chapters sooner without that subplot.

Additionally, I am still striving for a romance with good communication skills demonstrated. While I understand that stories need conflict, I feel, at least for this novel, that the conflict would have occured without the heroine leaving her husband temporarily. That just seemed superfulous.

Overall, this was okay, I will not be going out of my way to read anything else by this author though.

I liked this story. Didn't realy warm up to Cassandra's manipulative personality. She was like a little selfish girl, albeit she did do a great job taking care of her MIL and the kids. Gordon was confusinga big too, though at least he showed he cared about Cassandra. The ending plot was too fast....didn't get to know what happened to a lot of the characters.
