I love everything that Heather Graham writes, and this was no different. A brilliant page turner that’s part of the Krewe of Hunters series of paranormal thrillers.

Oh this was a fun distraction! There are serial killers, ghosts, a moose or two and an isolated island. Throw in a really dreadful reality TV show it was just a lot of fun. There are some repeat characters - Clara was in the previous book and Jackson and Angela are series regulars and the main characters in the first book - but you don't really need to have read any of the earlier books before diving into this one. The investigation definitely kept me turning pages and this was one of those books that kept me up way too late and I didn't even mind. In terms of quality this is just okay. The romance is a little to instant (though better done then some) and the mystery was pretty easy to figure out. However, the enjoyment was really high and this was just a fun book to pick up just now. Creepy but not scary and no connection to current events!

Yeah, another great book in this series! I'm one book closer to being caught up with this series! Plus, this book was a breeze to read, the pages just flew right on by! I just loved everything about it!
This book was really interesting, given that Thor was a partner of Jackson before the events of this series. Loved having that relationship play out as well as the connection to one of their cases-the Fairy Tale killer who just escaped and might have something to do with what's going on now! Fantastic!
Clara and Thor didn't get off to the right start, she was running from a gruesome scene and being chased, and then found another. He was a cop knowing about the first gruesome scene and she was the first civilian he'd seen on the island, and she was running and she didn't stop. So he tackled her. So there was a bit of animosity between them-but there was also an attraction brewing!
I kinda thought that was how the bad guys were going to work. Well, I thought it was only going to be the one guy, but then that was disproved! That was a pretty awesome ending! I'm glad that they got their happiness!
Fantastic book, fantastic series, and I need to read more of it!

This was not a compelling story; it was easy to put down for days at a time. It took a long time, over half the book, before I connected with Clara and Thor. We met Clara in the previous book and I thought she was a weak character. She was still weak in this book, not interesting enough to carry the story. Thor was more interesting but I never felt like I knew him.
The story was convoluted and while it had some twists, it just didn't hold my interest. I struggled to finish the book. The Alaskan setting was nicely done and Thor's family was interesting.
Overall, a tepid story with a weak romance.
