This book was OK. It dealt a lot with people with disabilities and one girl's struggle to adapt to her new baby brother with Down Syndrome. The underlying theme was the inclusiveness of those with disabilities, and how those with disabilities can teach us so much...the "go out and balance the world" is what we need to do. I enjoyed the character of Lori. How she fit into the story was a surprise. I did have some issues with the "green-glow" supernatural and there was profanity in one of the chapters, which I don't think has a place in good literature. Some of the characters, like Shannon's parents, seemed flat and one-dimensional, working very little to help her cope with the Down Syndrome diagnosis..
