If there's a book I wish I could put into the hands of every customer who comes into the library, it would be this book. A strong primer on critical reasoning, A Field Guide to Lies is a good resource in this political and cultural climate of fake news and "alternative facts". Learning how to parse statistics to understand what people are trying to convince you of is a useful tool to have. Levitin's explanations are also fairly easy to follow, making the book accessible for most readers. Definitely recommended for high school students and up.
