Hidden Monster by Amanda Strong was nothing what I expected but I enjoyed it regardless! Samantha goes out for a run and finds herself kidnapped, someone with a voice modulator repeatedly injecting her until she passes out. She manages to escape, but her abductor is never caught. As Samantha tries to adjust back to life, a new guy named Blake moves in next door. They become fast friends - maybe more - and soon Samantha is turning to Blake to help her figure out why she's suddenly sprouting wings and able to fly. Little does she know that Blake had a part in this and has been keeping secrets from her. A wild adventure is packed into this 300 page novel, so much you almost suffer whiplash. If you're looking for a super fast past novel with twists and turns, this is it! THe characters could be flushed out a bit more, and for as "stubborn" as Samantha is portrayed to be, she seems to forgive people really quickly and go along with things a lot. 3.5 stars from me.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This has been on my TBR pile for so long, and I'm glad I finally got around to it. I really enjoyed the storyline and seeing the characters change throughout the story was a great character development. The plot was great and kept my attention. I'm glad I got the chance to read this and will be on the lookout for more in the future!

This was an interesting read. It's been a while since Ideas the book, to be honest. I do remember it being a creepy one, with a surprising ending.

I really enjoyed this book and was shocked by the ending.
The story is about a group of children many of whom have had cancer or other life restricting illnesses and have been injected with a serum to make them live longer but as dragonflies. The main part of the novel is about Samantha who we are introduced to shortly before she is held captive in a shack being injected with the serum despite being healthy. The story then continues with her life and the search for the person who did this to her.
A very enjoyable adventure with an unexpected conclusion.
