This has all the elements of a heist, without the heist. It was kind of a weird premise. Party bumbling mystery, part heistless bank heist, and not as funny as other Evanovich books.

Did I enjoy it? Yes. Enough to read the second book? No.

The characters had promise. Or at least some of them did. And the animals. But the actual plot didn't really pull me in.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I've read other Janet Evanovich novels and they are usually easy to read, humorous and somewhat predictable (Plum series I'm talking abt you). Emerson is quirky and weird, but in a good way, while Riley is a dedicated, smart young woman. They are thrown together by the very thieves that they uncover. The antics were funny and entertaining. True to the Evanovich way.

I adore this series and am looking forward to more. This has the same feel as Evanovich's Fox and O'Hare Series. I love Emerson Knight's eccentricity and the chemistry he has with Riley Moon. I'm really anticipating getting into their psyche more and seeing what trouble they can conjure up.

A new series by Janet Evanovich and Phoef Sutton. I had high expectations because I have loved both the Stephanie Plum and Fox and O'Hare series and was a little disappointed. I liked the 2 main characters, Riley Moon and Emerson Knight, but found that they wore on me as the story progressed. Overall a good story with some funny parts, but some of the things that happened were too unbelievable, which detracted from the story for me. I will give the next book in this series a chance and see if my opinion improves.

I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the publisher through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Poor Riley Moon.  She lands her dream job and then gets sent off to babysit a weirdo rich guy.  And it gets weirder from there.  She finds out that maybe he isn't the bad guy he had been made out to be.  Maybe it is her bosses.  Maybe it is Washington insiders.  Maybe it is all of them.  In any case, it probably isn't Emerson Knight.  He is just weird, not crooked.
Reading a Janet Evanovich book is always fun.  They are never great literature, but they keep you involved, and always have so many twists and turns that you have to keep turning the pages to figure out how it is going to end.  Many times, you already know who the bad guys are, but sure don't know how it is going to play out.

What a top notch, hilariously engaging novel. I am so hooked!

I fully enjoyed the plot, I was absolutely enamored with the dialogue, especially between Knight and Moon. I am 100% shipping this, HARD.

This was my first Evanovich novel, and I am so glad I was given a chance to completely fangirl. I might just have to pick up this author's Plum series.

5 stars!

Curious Minds, an excellent suspense novel is why Janet Evanovich stays at the top of those in the genres. She delivers that same suspense/thriller formula with the added twist that make it unpredictable.

Janet Evanovich is known for her humor and over-the-top plot lines. This non-Stephanie Plum series is just as zany, but it has the added fun of the two main characters playing off of each other. Knight and Moon make a great team and it will be interesting to see their characters grow as the series progresses.

Hating to be somewhat contrary, but I have always found this author’s work to be a bit overrated… I either cannot finish or have to slog my way through, feeling frustrated. I will keep trying, maybe my mind will change… Cannot recommend this one though, I’m afraid. Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to read it.

Waaaaaaaay too madcap for me. It really wasn't funny, and it was absolutely all over the place. I was hoping for another Fox & O'Hare book, or at least Lizzy & Diesel book, but this was no substitute. Meh

This book was amazing. I began reading other Evanovich novels after this one. I loved the characters.

I love Janet Evanovich! Although this was a good read, I didn't feel compelled to read future books with this character. Thank you for letting me read this book, though.

Such a fun read by Evanovich and Sutton! Can't wait to read more!

I love Janet Evanovich. She's one of my one click authors so I was excited to see this book available to request. Reading the blurb I instantly thought of Lizzy & Diesel story. Which it kind of was although I wasn't swooning over Knight.

Even though I love her books I can't read them back to back because they all kind of read the same. Curious Minds definitely has a Stephanie Plum type feel.

Overall it was a good read and I would recommend

I found this mystery to contain nothing mysterious. The characters didn't feel fleshed out and were almost cardboard cutouts. I didn't feel connected to them, nor did I come to care about them. This makes it nearly impossible for me to enjoy reading about them.

As always, Janet Evanovich has written another great book! Curious Minds is about Riley Moon, who has landed her dream job. Unfortunately, as we all find out, our jobs come with many unexpected additional duties as assigned. Riley's new duty is to babysit the eccentric Emerson Knight. From there, the mystery begins leading the duo on a wild goose chase that finds them on a race across the country following missing money and a missing man. Knight and Moon are on the hunt for answers!

I love Janet Evanovich's books, and I am always excited to read her new series. I'm excited that she has partnered up with Phoef Sutton of Wicked Charms fame for this new series. I love the mystery, the real-life characters, the romance, and most of all the humor! I'm excited to see where this series heads, and I look forward to many more collaborative stories from Evanovich and Sutton about Knight and Moon.

Evanovich does it again. Introverted and eccentric Emerson Knight has little to no sense of the social graces. Fortunately, he’s also brilliant, rich, and handsome. Riley Moon freshly graduated from Harvard Business and Harvard Law is aggressive and built with a Texas spitfire attitude which helps her get her dream job: junior analyst with mega-bank Blane-Grunwald. But her first assignment is babysitting Emerson Knight which is not the dream job she expected. And the dream turns into a nightmare of sorts when an inquiry about missing bank funds in the Knight account leads to inquiries about a missing man, missing gold, and a race across the country. Eventually an evil plan is exposed, one so sinister only a megalomaniac could devise it. But the unlikely duo Emerson Knight and Riley Moon seem to be the only ones who can foil the plot. Evanovich and Sutton have created two strong characters along with a quirky cast of supporting characters. The Evanovich humor is evident as is the fun, fast-paced plot. This is a read her fans won’t want to put down.

I liked this book a lot. Great new characters, definitely worth the read. Hope it is the beginning of a series.

Great Evanovich book. I love the characters. I was caught in the intrigue from the beginning. Emerson with Riley as his side kick are the modern day Bat man and Robin going after the bad men. The bad being Rileys bosses. Emerson and Riley unravel what seems to be the impossible. An attempt to grab the world's power. I look forward to what at could easily be a new Evanovich book series.
