I must say that I enjoyed the second of the series more than the first. Perhaps because i am more familiar with some of the characters.
I suggest reading the first of the series to learn more about the adventure of Lanis and Elson and the things they went through in the first book.
There was non-stop action from beginning to end, including twists and turns I didn't expect.
I liked most of the additional characters, especially Vic. I didn't notice any significant character development.
