Another interesting read from a talented writer.
I liked the idea of this book, I enjoyed the story and found it quite interesting yet easy to read.
A great book for curling up with in an evening.

A fantastic read full of suspense and intrigue. This story is set aboard a cruise ship and it is such a thrilling and atmospheric read.

I bought this recently as I am enjoying 'locked room' thrillers at the moment. And then discovered I had it from NetGalley as well. It started off a little slowly, but the pace soon picked up. This was an easy read, with an Agatha Christie vibe, and kept me engrossed all the way through. But I would have liked more of the book to be set on the cruise ship, to provide more of a 'locked room' scenario.

After the outstanding In a Dark, Dark Wood I am excited to get my hands on this one.

And now I'm finished... It wasn't as good as the first book, but was still really good. I think my own expectations let me down with this one.

I listened to this on audio and Imogen Church does an amazing job bringing Lo to life, I couldn't stop listening.

I loved the confined setting, how it made everything even more intense, even more pressing. There was no where to escape to and it really helped to drive the fast pace of the story.

A superb pacey thriller that will keep you reading until the end. Great twists and turns that I didn't expect.

I really enjoyed this. While I didn't think it was quite as good as Ruth Ware's previous book, it still held my attention throughout, and I didn't want to put it down!

I wasn't the biggest fan of this authors first book - I felt it was a bit on the slow side. This book started with far more promise but about half way through I started to lose interest in the plot and all the different characters. It didn't seem to be going anywhere fast. The book picked up towards the end again. Thank you to Netgalley and the author for my copy of the book in exchange for my honest review.

At times this book reminded me of an Agatha Christie novel with a good plot and the element of solving a whodunnit. Unfortunately the book then got quite boring towards the middle - the plot seemed stretched out and the main character Lo began to annoy me. The amount she was drinking I am surprised she was even able to stand up and then she wondered why no one believed her.
I was most annoyed by her name Lo being short for Laura - it confused not only me but other passengers on board who she had to keep explaining the name to.

I started to wonder if I wanted to finish the book, when there began to be updates from the outside world - press releases of what was happening at the same time. This really began to feel like a good book again and I pressed on.

Eventually it became clear what was happening and I began to fear for Lo - how do you escape when you are out in the middle of the sea? The end of the book gripped me and I was eager to read to find out what would happen.

Maybe the ending was a little unrealistic- I don't know - I just wanted to finish the book and resolve "who was the woman in cabin 10".

I'm giving this book 3 out of 5 stars. My thanks to Netgalley for a copy of the book for review.

Ok so you didn't need to be frightfully clever to work out what was going on, but that is the same for many books, so I'm not sure why it doesn't have more good reviews on Amazon. I had a review copy but was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I would look out for this author again.

The woman in cabin 10 by Ruth Ware is a mystery and thriller read.
This was meant to be the perfect trip.
The northern lights.
A luxury press launch on a boutique cruise ship.
Except things don't go as planned.
Lo Blackwood is a victim of a traumatic break-in that has left her on the verge of collapse.
Whilst on the ship lo is woken up by screams she rushes to her window to see a body thrown overboard from the next cabin. But looking is told that the cabin is empty and no passengers are missing.
Is lo losing her mind? Who can she trust? Is there anyone she can trust?
OMG. This book had me all over the place with so many suspects I didn't know if lo could trust anyone on that ship. I really felt for her. She was my favourite character. This is a must read and I would highly recommend this book. Definitely worth more than 5*. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book from netgalley.
