Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book. I love Lori Foster and her books always deliver. I look forward to reading more of this series.

This books is a two for one romance Deal, both relationships are vastly different which makes the dynamic very interesting. At times the convos between the characters are pointless or not productive, but other than that I really enjoyed this title.
The fact that there was also very strong friendships there provided a very real and fun ambiance to it all.
The only problems I had is that it is too many POVs and at times it was hard to follow but other than that I really enjoyed it.
My favorite female character I think is Lexie her feisty nature made her more interesting for me.
My favorite male character is Jason there´s something about a hawt handyman neighbor that just does it for me.

Lori Foster is absolutely one of my favorite romance authors and she definitely delivers in her newest standalone - not only do you have the feeling of familiarity with characters but it is a wholesome romance with so many amazing secondary characters you just can't help but fall in love with!

Honor Brown is a really independent woman - she is used to depending on no one, doing things on her own and definitely NOT asking for help - so when she moves in a neighborhood, into a house that really needs some TLC and neighbors, who aren't just HOT, but also helpful - she has her hands full, especially considering the kind of family she has.

Jason Guthrie works with his hands and definitely isn't in search of "the one", even though he would love to have that in his life, he has seen what love could do and has it reinforced with the presence of his brother and nephew.

From the start, it is easy to see the attraction and chemistry between Jason and Honor - and their reluctance as well! And it was so heartwarming to watch these two fall for each other! Really. They had me cheering in reality as well. The gentleness that Jason showed Honor from the very first moment (well, almost the first moment!) wrapped around me like a warm blanket and basically just stole my heart. And Honor's reticence did not hold high against Jason and his family's warmth - not that she didn't have a good reason for that reticence.

This is a slow burn romance - but at the perfect pace. Not once did I feel that it lagged or even stretched in away. This pace was absolutely perfect for those who adore falling for the characters and that's exactly kind of reader I am. Hence me and Lori? We are a perfect match.

We also have a small story of ARc of Honor's best friend, Lexi Perkins and another of Honor's neighbor, Sullivan Dean - which means we also get their POV's (YAY!) - their connection is also one that was unexpected, but this one honestly felt a bit rushed. I would have preferred a novella to handle their relationship, especially considering both of them aren't exactly known for their commitments!

This is another book by Lori, that I know I am going to come back when I am in a reading slump - for it is perfect and soothing to that restless mind of mine! <3

I can't wait to see where she goes to with this new series :D

DON’T TEMPT ME (GUTHRIE BROTHERS #1) is a contemporary romance that has a lot of depth to it – both to the storylines and the characters. Honor, new neighbor to the Guthries – Jason, his brother Hogan and Hogan’s son, Colt, was overwhelmed upon meeting them with her best friend, Lexie, at her side since she’s a very private person and not very social. We get to meet several other neighbors on the street, Sullivan who owns an MMA school and is an instructor for all ages but especially for kids at risk and Nathan, the sheriff. It’s heartwarming getting to know each of them as well as the dynamics between them as they get to feel comfortable with each other and become friends and family as they each look out for each other but especially Honor especially with some bad things that have been happening on their street. Throw in Diesel, a dog for Honor, but cared for by Colt and the others and things get even more interesting.

As we get to know each of them they all have their own quirks and issues but after Honor’s initial shock of having friends, being included and neighbors being neighbors we get to see a new side of her. She and Jason have immediate chemistry which shocks them both but Honor is more than surprised. Given her upbringing and family life that we get to know little by little, it’s not surprising she acts the way she does and wants her independence but Jason and the others are good at always being there and being inclusive but also giving her the space she needs. Jason is always at her side offering help or ready to pitch in if she wants to try something on her own. Meeting her family is heartbreaking and gives credence to why she acts the way she does. Watching her and Jason dance around each other at times but other times be all in with their feelings was portrayed realistically.

There are a lot of emotions involved – tears, sorrow, anger, hurt, fear, acceptance, laughter, caring, friendship, happiness, loving and love. This is Jason and Honor’s story but also Sullivan and Lexie’s with all the others as supporting characters including Violet, the owner of Screwy Louie’s, a neighborhood eatery. Lexie and Sullivan are good for a one night stand or several since neither does love but will it be enough? The plots are interrelated and easy to follow even with so much going on. The neighborliness and the friendships shine through and it’s nice to see. There is closure and a few happily ever afters in the offing which are nice to see. I for one can’t wait for the next book in the series, WORTH THE WAIT, which will have Hogan and Nathan and their loves and lives front and center. I hope it is worth the wait since it won’t be out for another year.

I’ve read books by Foster before but mostly her older romances and anthologies she’s a part of. I will be adding many more of her books to my always growing TBR pile.

I rated the book 4.5 stars but rounded to 5 stars on this and other sites.

Romances like this don't usually catch my eye as much as more contemporary reads do, but this was definitely not bad. I mean it was totally cheesy, but the kind of cheesy that makes me weirdly very happy.

The main character is a typical damsel in distress but tries to do things on her own and here comes the new hunky neighbor who is Big and Strong and wants to protect her and fix her. Bring in the feisty best friend who is wary of the new guy at first but soon totally wants them to be together.

This book is a clique, but this trope is popular for a reason. I'm not the biggest fan of it, but there are people that will eat this up.

I have been in love with Lori Fosters books for a long time, so I was extra excited to read Don't Tempt Me! This book reminded me so much of the first books I read from Lori Foster that got me hooked on her writing, if you are a fan of fun and sweet romance, this book is a must read!

When Honor purchases a rundown house in a small neighborhood that is in need of repair, she is pretty sure she can do most of the work herself. That is until she meets her handsome new neighbor, who insists on helping her out. Jason, who lives with his brother and nephew, falls hard for Honor, but she has some personal issues that complicate things. After loosing someone close to her, Jason is right by her side, but can she learn to let go and accpet his help and love?

Also in this book, we get to meet a whole bunch of amazing characters, including Lexie, Honors best friend. Lexie has always been there when Honor has needed her. When she meets one of the new neighbors, Sullivan, sparks fly but he is reluctant to start something serious because she is a bit of a party girl. But, can she convince him she is more than just some party girl looking for a fun time?

As the story moves along, I really fell in love with all the characters and I can't wait to read the next great book by this amazing author!

Lori Fosters book never disappoint, whether she is writing about big tough fighters, or sweet contemporary romance. This was one of the best books I have read recently, it is definitely a summer must read!

I received a free ARC of this book for my honest review, all opinions are my own.

Another amazing book by Lori Foster. Can she write anything bad?
The answer is no.
While not my favorite title of hers (I'm a sucker for several of her previous series), I enjoyed this one & it was a quick read & easy to devour! If you are a Foster fan don't skip this one!

4.5 stars. Taking place in a small neighborhood. Two hottie brothers, Hogan and Jason Guthrie, along with Hogan's teen son Colt, Sullivan the hottie across the street, and Nathan another neighbor who is the Sherriff. Along comes Honor Brown and her best friend Lexi. Honor bought the dilapidated house next to the Guthries, and the fun begins.

Loved how Jason was resistant to his new neighbor, but couldn't resist the challenge. He was so patient with Honor. I felt the instant connection between Honor and Jason. Jason is a Jack of all trades (reminds me of Gabe from the Buckhorn's) and has the hots for Honor the new neighbor who has a hard time accepting help. Honor also a mystery Jason wants to solve. Where does she go in the middle of the night? Why can't she accept help when offered?

Honor sweet, a little shy and has trust issues, which comes from a loss as well as a carpy relatives. I liked Honor, although there was a time or two I wanted to tell her that love doesn't always hurt. Good thing she has her friend Lexi, that is the secondary story, which meshes perfectly.

Jason has his older brother Hogan and his son Colt living with him while Hogan gets his priorities in order after a devastating time in his life. Then there is Lexi, Honor's in your face friend, and Honor's other neighbor Sullivan, more sparks.

I loved the plot. I'm always in awe of how Ms Foster writes her stories so seamlessly, every page flows beautifully. I also like the Sullivan/Lexi back story. I just plain loved all the characters.

Another great read by Ms Foster!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Don`t Tempt Me by Lori Foster is one you don`t want to miss. I couldn`t decide who I loved the best for each one was hotter than ever. Jason is the man of all trades in the little neighborhood Honor moved in. Right away you can tell there is chemistry between them they can`t deny anymore. The one thing I didn`t like was that Honor kept being standoffish whenever Jason tried to help her. I loved that no matter how much she pushed him away Jason kept coming back to her. Now Lexie and Sullivan so wanted more of them. The sex between was hot like Jason and Honors. There was a lot more I wanted to know about Sullivan and hopefully Lori Foster will do one of him and Lexie. All in all this one was a tale of two men loving their women by tempting them with passion, sex and a love they never expected.

Finally, I am able to catch up with some of the older books. This one is interesting as it kind of features two couples. Honor and Lexie are best friends. Honor moved into a new house that need remodeling, which conveniently her hot neighbor Jason was ready to fold up his sleeves. Honor is more independent, soft spoken, serious. Her past upbringing was not all sunshine and rainbow. She has her defense up but Jason can see though her and he is determined break down her wall. I love Jason – so patience, kind, caring, romantic, totally swoony. Then there is Lexie who is carefree and a bit of a partier. Sullivan is a martial arts teacher. He knows to avoid trouble but Lexie is that gorgeous trouble he can’t stay away. I really like Lexie - she is outgoing, fun, sassy. She knows what she wants and she will do anything to get it … ahem Sullivan
Over all, I enjoy the small town feels, the friendship, the sizzling chemistry, great romantic story-line. Entertaining read!

I have read and enjoyed several of LF’s books and this one did not disappoint. The romance was there, the storyline was engaging and the characters were personable. I do wish that the story focused on one couple instead of covering two romances bc from the ending it doesn’t seem like Lexie and Sullivan will get their own book which is sad bc they are amazing individually and as a couple. I want more of them!!!

LF has a knack for writing books that transport me to her world. I felt like I was part of or watching these scenes and actions. I loved Diesel and Colt, loved how Honor was able to open up under the care of that neighborhood, and the scene at the MMA studio was probably one of my favorites. I wasn’t sure about Hogan, but by the end of the book I was hooked and hope to see his story(hopefully with Violet) soon!

Thanks NetGalley and HQN Books for providing the book and giving me a chance to share my opinion.

While the narration was not my favorite I did enjoy the story and continued to the next book in the series. Lori Foster deliveries fun and sexy same town romances that I continue to enjoy.

This book is an easy and fast read and a sweet, contemporary romance. It follows two different couples, Honor and Jason, and Lexie and Sullivan. I didn't mind that, but I did feel that the telling of Lexie and Sullivan's relationship started off strong, but then was kind of forgotten. We weren't privy to all the details of their relationship.

The book focuses more on Honor and Jason. And while I enjoyed the romance between Honor and Jason, I found some of the dialogue and conversations a little unbelievable. But overall, I did enjoy the book and the underlying messages. I also loved the secondary characters, especially Hogan and Colt.

I loved Don't Tempt Me & could not put it down. Jason Guthrie was very busy with his business, having his widowed brother Hogan & nephew Colt living with him & helping improve the neighborhood & keeping it safe. Honor Brown is his new neighbor who moves in next door & she is busy as well. Honor herself hasn't had an easy life-because of her past she has trouble trusting others, leaning on them & relying on them to help her. She doesn't want to be a bother to anyone, she wants to be independent. We also get to meet Lexie, who is like a sister to Honor helping Honor in this new chapter of her life while Lexie forms a relationship with one of Honor's neighbors Sullivan Dean. Sullivan owns a gym & helped underprivileged children. He thinks Lexie is a party girl, only out for a good time with no substance to her. However he realizes how much he underestimated her & judged her by her looks alone after seeing how she is with the children at his gym. This is the first book in a new series & was a great book!

Ok, this is a fun series. It's one of those books where you feel like you fall into their world! A great, quick read and a nice series.

As usual, Lori Foster starts a new series with a plot that draws you right into the book with an excellent story, great characters and a quirky environment. You can't ask for more!

Jason Guthrie is a man who is sexy, kind, loyal, and hard-working both in action and family. The best kind of alpha hero! He is helping his brother and nephew get on their feet and still makes himself work to make his town a better place. He doesn't have time for a relationship but he is savvy enough not to get in the way when one appears. He likes what he has, how he lives and doesn't need any trouble getting in his way.

Speaking of trouble ...
Honor Brown, Jason's new neighbor, is a complicated woman whose family life has forced her to be self-reliant and independent to a fault. This is her way of proving to everyone that she is not taking advantage of anyone. Unfortunately, this also makes her difficult to accept help and be more adaptive to what is going on. However, this girl is loving and loyal, fiercely protective of her friend and anyone who gains her loyalty.

These two together are absolutely fantastic. He learns to be more patient, sympathetic and understanding while she learns to be less rigid and accepting of help and caring. Their relationship grows realistically but is smoking hot! Their chemistry is combustible.

The secondary characters of Sullivan and Lexie, Hogan, Violet and Colt are great supportive characters that add to the entire world. Lori Foster weaves their story into the main romance well, not only adding depth but realism to an already great story.

The less focused yet not less important to the book is the love story between Sullivan and Lexie. Sullivan is a martial arts trainer who is focused on his kids and giving the youth an advantage in an already difficult world for them. He doesn't have time for Lexie who he perceives as a party girl. The perfect example of making judgements on a person's character before knowing the full story. It's a pleasure to see him start seeing Lexie beyond the flirtatious woman she hides behind. The real Lexie is the perfect foil to his rigidity. A great story!

Highly recommended book! If you are looking for a sweet contemporary romance with heat, spice and a bit of suspense, this is the book you need to read!

4.5 stars

Don’t Tempt Me by Lori Foster is very different from anything I’ve ever read by her and that’s not a bad thing, but if you are looking for the normal type of romance you get from her this is not it. Don’t Tempt Me is on the sweeter side of romance although there are plenty of sexy times and while the men are hunky, strong, and alpha they aren’t in your face alpha like her normal heroes. That all being said, I loved this book in that it was very much about the characters and the relationships with one another and while there was a bit of excitement in it, there wasn’t any big suspense plot or even any big blow up between the main characters; simply put it was well written, well paced romance with a group of characters easy to love and hard to forget.

Abandoned by her parents and sent to live with her maternal grandfather Honor Brown has always had a hard time letting people in to her life and trusting them. While she adored her grandfather with whom she had an amazing relationship his failing health and dementia have put him in a care facility and so the only person she has to rely on is herself with a little help from her best friend Lexie. She’s proud of the house she’s purchased despite it being in an area in the middle of revitalization and the fact that it is a big time fixer upper, Honor is sure she can do the work and feels her grandfather would be proud of the choices she’s made. Honor is one of those heroines who is hard not to like; she’s self sufficient almost to a fault, she’s caring, kind and considerate but she has a stubborn streak especially when it comes for accepting help. Lexie tempers her and tries really hard to help Honor have fun, something she hasn’t allowed herself especially in the last couple of years.

Taking out her neighbor’s trashcan on move in day may not be the best way to introduce yourself to the neighborhood but in Honor’s case it might have been the best thing that ever happened to her. Jason Guthrie along with his older brother, Hogan and Hogan’s 17 year old son, Colt are there to greet her and welcome her to the neighborhood. I loved the way these three men immediately sprung into action and helped her move in, gave her some advice (although she didn’t appreciate all of it), and simply refused to let her do everything on her own. They overwhelmed her with their kindness and while it was difficult for her to accept, each time got easier and as she let her defenses down she became friends with Hogan, a surrogate aunt to Colt and Jason became the object of her desire, but not only that they made her realize that there are good and decent people in the world who are trustworthy. And through them she meets her other neighbors Sullivan Dean and Nathan Hawley as well as a few other quite interesting characters.

The relationship between Jason and Honor builds at a good pace and I liked that Jason made it known he wanted to be intimate with Honor but there wasn’t a rush to the bedroom. More so he wanted her to let him help her which she refused, but she did allow Colt to do some things for her. All while Jason is trying to figure out a way around Honor’s walls and find out about her crazy schedule that she refuses to discuss with him; Honor’s friend Lexie and Sullivan are also exploring a relationship but at a much faster pace. So in essence, you get two romances for the price of one in this book.

I loved the overwhelming sense of friendship and love between this group of people and when Honor must face down her worst fear and her crazy family, they are there for her in more ways than she ever imagined. This ragtag family gave off so many feels and while everyone with struggling with one thing or another, they were there for one another and that made this book truly special.

Don’t Tempt Me is a different kind of romance from Lori Foster but in this case different means all kinds of wonderfulness rolled in good feelings and sprinkled with love and it is not to be missed!

I really liked the relationships that blossomed in this book, it was really sweet and I have to say that the sweet Honor, and the very very manly Jason got together.

Dean and Lexi's story was as sweet but way less involved, and I actually removed a star because I wanted a bit more of them.

I also really enjoyed how Honor built a relationship with Jason's nephew because I see them being really close as he continues to develop.

I also liked the juxtaposition between the two stories, although Honor and Jason definitely took center stage for most of the book, I thought that there needed to be a bit more development in the relationship between Lexi and Dean, because I felt their story needed a bit more work.

One of my new favorites in the first of what promises to be an amazing series!!! Honor has long ago learned not depend on anyone too much because if you do, they will probably walk away. Honor has bought her first house at a great price since it's a bit of an eyesore and it needs a lot of work, but she fell in love with it and it's closer to the medical facility where her beloved grandpa, the man who raised her, is sick with dementia and she can get to him more easily. Her best friend, Lexie, is hesitant about the house but can't complain about the view, since it seems Honor is surrounded by sexy single men. Jason is intrigued by his new neighbor and the crazy schedule she keeps, it's driving him crazy that he can't figure out where she goes in the middle of the night or why she fights his offers of help so much. When Honor's house gets broken into and strangers are seen skulking around, Jason sets out to prove that Honor can trust and depend on him and the only place he'll ever be is right by her side. This book was fantastic!!! I understood why Honor was so afraid to lean on anyone, even Lexie, and why she was so insistent in doing it on her own. She didn't want to burden anyone or make them feel obligated to her in any way. Jason was everything Honor needed and more, he knew when to push and when to give her some space. I loved that Lexie got her own HEA in this as well but I also hope we get a novella or something so we can get a more in depth look at them. Sullivan is one of the gorgeous neighbors of Honor's and is a martial arts instructor, he teaches all ages but his focus is the at risk kids, kids like what he use to be before an MMA instructor took him under his wing. He wants to help kids the same way he was helped and he can't afford any distractions, especially gorgeous blonde party girls like Lexie. Lexie and Sullivan agree to a one night stand but Lexie decides she wants more, she signs up for a month of martial art classes and shows up on the night when Sullivan is with the older at risk kids. Sullivan is stunned and impressed at how Lexie praises and boosts all the kids self esteem seemingly without trying. He realizes that he has severely misjudged her and that there is more to her then the party girl persona she shows everyone. I can't wait for more of this series!!!!
