Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.

So this was an interesting premise...but there was something missing. I'm not sure if it's because the relationship went from 0 to 60 in about 3 hours or if I didn't have enough backstory to connect, but I had a hard time. Don't get me wrong, the love scenes were super hot, but it felt like this would not have happened in a real BDSM club. I don't know...maybe that's just me. Also, it bordered on insta-love and that's hard to do really well.

This novel had so much potential, but for me, it was ruined when Jared entered the picture. I wanted to read more about Declan and Zoey's relationship and how it was evolving, not how she gave a bj to Jared and how they had a threesome. That put me off big time. I could get over the first time that happened, but the second it was a no-no for me. I didn't even understand why it happened. She was trying to prove what a good sub she could be and I don't get why Jared had to be there.

Zoey went too fast from a vanilla person to a sub and the whole thing wasn't as convincing as it was supposed to be. The BDSM stuff were on the light side, so no worries about that. The characters were half-developed and I never got the chance to like them as much as I would have wanted to. Some things didn't add up and it only contributed to the fact that I couldn't connect with the story.
