I didn't like Shane or Isabella and I didn't believe in their chemistry, so while the steamy bits were adequately hot - I just didn't care for the story overall.

I have not read any of J.L. White's books previously. I would rate this book a 4.5. I loved the characters-was a little uncomfortable with the forbidden love-but I can understand it. I would recommend this to most romance readers-but I can see how it could offend some people with the professor/student interest. I was a grad assistant and this was a huge no no and I could have lost my funding. But regardless this was an interesting book and I will read the others as I thought all of the characters were interesting. Have fun and hope you enjoy the book.
