This was very very well written with a lot of humor and great character development. I loved the main character and the magic that was intertwined into the modern world. It was very fast paced, fun and enticing. I love the side characters and all the creatures of mythology and legends. I am a sucker for vampire books and loved that they had a place in this book. I didn't finish this book, and I did not review it anywhere. I only write reviews for books I like. This one just never piqued my interest. I think there was too much build-up in the beginning, and I just never got interested in the story or characters.

This was a very interesting introduction to what I feel would be a spell-binding series. To be honest, I found it a little too slow but once I got to the last few chapters, things got a lot more interesting. I'm used to fantasy books with long introductions and world-building. I think they pay off when you go through the next books in the series. So I'm definitely going to check out the rest of the books.

Wonderful story and use of mythologies. Oberon is a hoot and Atticus, though arrogant, seems a decent person. Excellent start to a series.
