I love Heather graham’s paranormal thrillers. The premise, characters, pacing — I’m here for all of it!! This book just didn’t disappoint

Every year there is a new Krewe trilogy and every year I find that the last book just doesn't live up to the other two. This is no exception. This hasn't been my favorite trilogy and this one wasn't my least favorite of her books but I just found it a bit dull. Charlie and Ethan are nice people and I'm usually a big fan of ghosts but other then a few tense moments that kept me engaged this one just felt a little flat and the ending felt rushed. While I do know who the bad apples were I thought the reasoning was a bit shaky. It was an okay listen and Luke Daniels is always a good narrator but the story just failed to keep me engaged.

A dark and deadly tale of romantic suspense. Love the wealth of historical detail, the dark, paranormal flavor and of course the non-stop mystery and romance. Another winner for this talented author!

Huge fan of the Krewe of Hunters books and love the interlacing of Civil War history. With that being said, I was hoping for a little more romantic storyline between Charlie and Ethan and maybe a bit less on the history lesson. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love reading about history but wished the book concentrated more on the action and the romance.

This book was really fantastic! I loved this 3rd book that's kinda like a trilogy within the series, with the Celtic American Lines ships and their employees! Charlie and Ethan were awesome together, and I loved reading about them!
Ethan knew Aidan, from The Betrayed, so yeah, that was a nice connection. Because I've been kinda forgetting most of these characters who weren't in the first 4 books, and the latest two or three. Those characters in the middle books have kinda been lost in the shuffle! So that mention was nice, even if I had to look for which book Aidan had been in!
Charlie and Ethan had worked together before. So they had history, and they both found each other attractive, and now the 3 years that separated them in age, didn't matter so much! They still had a few troubles, but not as many as they would've had at 16 and 19!
I did read the ending before I was done the first chapter. I just had to know how things were going to end! And so I was watching for the clues! This was a pretty interesting mystery, because there was the Journey, and there was the movie that was being filmed. Loved how things came together!
This was a fantastic book, and I loved reading it! Yeah, I'm just one book from catching up!

A murder during a reenactment of a Civil War battle stirs the ghosts of the past in Graham's latest Krewe novel. Graham does an excellent job of incorporating Civil War facts into the novel, and the mystery element was suspenseful, but I found the romance in this novel not my favorite out of her recent works. Still, a fun read.
