This is my first book from this author, it is hard for me to give an opinion because this was a conclusion from another book.

COMING CLEAN - C.L. Parker

#3 in the Monkey Business Trio

A good conclusion - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - We pick up the story after Cassidy and Shaw settle into a life together with their young son. Unfortunately, they are having some relationship problems that they need to resolve.

Writing - 4 stars - After having read the first two books in this series, it was easy to get back into the scenario and revisiting with the characters. This book felt much more comfortable since it is back into the excitement of the agency, with the addition of parenthood and an adorable child. Parker writes in a casual and easy-to-read style.

Characters - 4 stars - Cassidy and Shaw are exciting characters, both powerful and strong. Cassidy is somewhat uncomfortable in her new role as stay-at-home mother, so she's not particularly happy with their new relationship. Shaw, on the other hand, has slipped back into his selfish ways now that he's back at the office and working hard to keep things juggled. Since they don't spend a lot of time talking, neither really understands the other (although the reader sees both sides of the story). They are both appealing, while recognizing and accepting their faults.

Title - 4 stars - As they progress through relationship therapy, both of them start to "come clean" with each other and, more importantly, with themselves.

Cover - 2 stars - The trio have all had dark and gloomy covers. Even with an attractive couple on the cover, the color certainly doesn't draw the eye or stand out in any way. This is completely contrary to the excitement and interest that the story holds.

Overall - 4 stars - It was great to get back into the swing of these characters and what they do best--compete. Even in their personal relationship, they find themselves continuing to compete, while still growing. I liked both characters from the beginning and enjoyed getting to know them better throughout the trilogy.

Had a love/hate relationship with this book... and part of it based on its necessity or if the series should have ended with the first 2 books. Ultimately, yeah, was a good completion to their story. If you enjoy this couple you should read this book!

Coming Clean by C.L.Parker is the intense finale to the Monkey Business Trio. It is intense. Yes the other two were intense but this one is more; on the logarithmic scale. Intensely sexual, intense working relationships and an intense bond of friendship. Having read the first two, I can’t imagine reading this only. Fast paced, intense characters and wide range of toppings CSU fit well into the storyline. Highly recommend it.

I loved the first book i read of Shaw and Cassidy falling in love. It was amazing. This book however didn't do it for me. I just wasn't as interested in their lives this ti.e around.

Sexy. Sweet. Unforgettable. I love this author and the stories she writes. Great chemistry. Undeniable attraction. Smoldering tension. Characters that make you feel everything. Highly recommended this book y'all!

In Coming Clean, we catch up with Cassidy and Shaw approximately four years after the last book. They are now parents to three-year-old Abe. Shaw is thriving as partner of Striker while Cassidy is left to raise Abe. This was not the story I pictured we would get. I never expected their story to be so relateable. Now having finished the series, I wouldn’t have changed a thing. Cassidy and Shaw struggle with the changes that have occurred in their relationship since having a baby. I thought the way they worked through their problems was quite interesting and fit them perfectly. The epilogue just put the icing on the cake. What a great way to end this series.

I so enjoyed this book! You really want to know why?? The whole way through this one I kept thinking to myself, "I have never read anything like this!!" and that is what made it so enjoyable. C.L. Parker did a wonderful job with giving us a unique story that held your attention the whole way through. I can not wait to see what is next from C.L. Parker because this one was so unique!!

Cassidy and Shaw have had their ups and downs in their relationship and when we pick up in this third book in the series, they are on one of the downs. This is the third book in this series but I picked up right off with this one not having read the other two books in the series. I am going to go back and read them now, but I was not lost at all while reading this third one. Cassidy and Shaw are both very competitive in their line of work, but when Cassidy had their first child, she quit work to raise him. Although Cassidy and Shaw have a child together, they are not married yet. They have had a good relationship but now that Shaw is busy with work, he has sort of lost his priorities.

Shaw is putting work before Cassidy and their son and is always missing appointment that they are supposed to be at together. Cassidy has insisted that they go to counseling together to try and work on their issues as a last resort as far as she is concerned. Cassidy has had it with Shaw and he is leaving her no room for recovery with his actions. When Cassidy finally has enough and threatens to leave Shaw and is already packed, she finally gets his attention. Is it too late though?

Cassidy stays on one condition, she and Shaw will make their appointments that they have with the counselor. When they start seeing this counselor, they both start making snide remarks at each other, but the counselor has an idea that he only uses for special clients. He feels that Cassidy and Shaw could benefit from this so he refers them to someone that can help them with another aspect of their marriage. I thought that this was clever because sometimes we need to go back to what brought us together in the first place. I am not going to give away what happens in this story because you need to read this one for yourself. You will not be disappointed that you took the time to!

I can't wait to see what is next for C.L. Parker. This was a great read that kept me engaged from beginning to end. The story flowed very well and the characters are very well developed.

This was a fantasitc conclusion to this series. Shaw and Cassidy have been through a lot and to finally see them get their HEA made me appreciate the growth these two had over the series.

(This book was a bit graphic which I appreciated, but not everyone would It also got into some sexual acts that would potentially upset some. If you read this, read it with an open mind.)

Goodness I this book was wonderful. Sure it was a little cookie cutter, but the addition of Katya and her homework certainly frosted that cookie in the best possible way.

I'll miss these guys, it's too bad this story is done.

I have Loved, Loved, Loved this trilogy! Not one book was a disappointment at all, and this one was even better then the other two...if that is even possible.

We pick up roughly seven months after Getting Rough ended with the birth of Shaw and Cassidy's son Abe. It was definitely fun to see Shaw freak out while Cass was in labor.

Shaw and Cassidy love each other there's no question about that but it seems like their life has done a complete 180 since they had their son three years earlier its sad to say but the passion is no longer there. Rather than let their love for one another fizzle away Cassidy insists they see a relationship coach. A therapist that isn't a therapist, a relationship coach, and the love and support of their friends will help them through this difficult patch they are having.

There is also something big going down at Striker Sports Entertainment, we know that in the first book Playing Dirty Monty was retiring and that is when Cassidy and Shaw were in competition to make partnership at SSE, now it seems that Wade is ready to retire and that leaves a HUGE unknown to Shaw...will he be out of a job with SSE closing?....will someone be named partner?...will he have any say over who it is?...yep tons of questions and only one way to find out the answers to them, yep you got it - you need to read this book!!!

Although we don't get to see each of the friends pairing up in their own books we do get a HEA or HFN for each of them, Denver & Quinn, Landon & Sasha, Chaz & Demi, as well as Casey & Mia.

This has been a great trio of books but remember they MUST be read in order, they are not to meant to be read any other way. Happy Reading!
