I love a good non-fiction book. However I found it so hard to stay interested in this one! I tried a couple of times to read on, but it just didn't grab my interest. Unfortunately I had to abandon it.

This book is a weird and wonderful collection of odd science stories. I found it to be perfect to read in little doses, such as while waiting to pick my children up from various activities, and then share some of the strange facts that I'd gleaned with the family. Latin nomenclature, medical uses of hot sauce, a connection between arsonists and abuse, pet-borne infections, and more....

I've been reading this on and off for months - interesting, but not really a book to sit down with.
