Steven Fies’ *24-Hour Business Plan Template* is a practical gem for entrepreneurs pressed for time. Its clear, step-by-step approach breaks down the planning process into manageable chunks, making it easier to craft a solid business plan quickly. While the template offers a structured path, it can feel a bit formulaic for those seeking more depth. Overall, it's a great tool for getting a business idea off the ground efficiently, though seasoned planners might find it a bit basic.

Yet another short book readable in a couple of hours of how to practically go on with your startup as an entrepreneur. It starts by discussing how you can finish up a business plan in just 24 hrs. Furthermore, it goes into every section of the Business Plan and how you can make it. In any code it has the advantage of being really short and to the point, which allows to get a general view of what a business plan is, However, it is so simplified that you have a feeling that you need to buy another book.

The book makes approaching business plan easy with tools as well as an estimate of how long should each component of it take.

This book is the perfect tool for anyone trying to get their thoughts together and launching their business. It's easy to use, straight to the point, and a no nonsense approach to business planning.

Excellent book reference for people to start their own business

My husband and I wanted to read this in order to help with the preparation of a business plan, a refresher at least. It was well laid out, but more basic than we had hoped.

Clever title but not sure if 4 hours typing up a plan is enough. It will suffice for simpler business ventures though. If you get paralysis by analysis and overthink things then it's worth reading this. Could have used some examples.

Steve provides a step by step guide to write a sound business plan and he do it in very simple words that can be understood by novice, too.
He provides also a downloadable bundle that contains:
- Pre-formatted Business Plan Template
- Cash-Flow Spreadsheet
- Quick Reference Action Plan
- Pre-Launch Checklist

An interesting take on building your business for success. Quick, insightful, and a great resource for the aspiring entrepreneur

Steve Fies' 24hr approach is based on the philosophy that no matter how detailed our business projections are; reality confirms plans are a glorified guess. To achieve our destined success, Mr. Fies argues, time and energy are best spent in the implementation of our plans learning from real world experiences and adjusting our projections accordingly.

How is it written?
The book is pretty small. Each of the topics above is covered at a high level in a section of its own. Steven Fies has also created some ready to use templates for the plan and cash flow which might be useful.
What did I like?
The basic aspects of creating a plan have been covered in this book. The templates are a good idea. While not of much of use to me, I am sure some people will find this useful.
What did I not like?
This book is superficial. I felt that the topics were not tackled in detail. Also, the lack of examples in the book and the templates made this less effective than it could be.
My Recommendation
I get the feeling that this book is aimed towards people who have no idea of a business or a business model. For instance, I would have found this very useful when I started my MBA and didn’t know what a business case was. There are better books like “Business Model Generation” which are more detailed and nuanced.
