After 23 years of marriage, there is still so much for me to learn. This book helped me see lots of little areas where my selfishness may be hurting my marriage. Changing my behaviors is changing my marriage. Marriage is hard, very hard. People are so very selfish at heart. But love, real, actual, love (not the mushy emotion) is difficult and requires a lot of sacrifice. This book shows the reader many different areas where one might need to make some sacrifices.

However, this book is not a panacea. It always takes two to make a marriage work. If your spouse isn't interested in changing, then I don't think anything you can do will save the marriage. Thank God, my husband does indeed love me. And now our marriage is only getting better.
