Twilight Dreams — Amanda Ashley

Rating: 3.5/5
Quick take: Comfort-PNR in velvet and shadows—flirty, a little gothic, and very swoony.
Two-sentence summary: A curious mortal stumbles into vampire business she shouldn’t, and the one who should scare her most becomes her safest place. Danger doesn’t slow down; neither does the chemistry.
What I loved:

A gentle, protective vamp who’s still convincingly dangerous

Playful “getting to know you” scenes that feel like dates with fangs

Found-family coven energy—loyalty, snark, and backup when it counts

Stakes that escalate cleanly from local trouble to bigger threats

A tone that stays fun even when the claws come out
Wish list: worldbuilding is intentionally light; lore-hungry readers may want more rules.
Heads-up: On-page steam; non-graphic violence.
For readers who like: Lynsay Sands (lighter), early J.R. Ward tone (far gentler).
Full review:
Amanda Ashley knows exactly what she’s delivering: a cozy, slightly gothic vampire romance you can inhale in a weekend. The leads fall into an easy rhythm—banter, boundary-setting, rescue each other a couple of times—and the plot moves quickly enough that you’re never tempted to skim. The world’s rules are sketched rather than codified, which matches the “vibes first” approach. Come for the fluttery scenes and the ride-or-die promise; stay for an ending that leaves the door open to happiness.
