Dangerous Protector
Dangerous Protector is book 14 of the Red Stone Series. This is the story of Tegan and Aaron and their path to each other. Tegan works at Kimmy’s Cakes and Coffee. She has a crush on Aaron but he is seemingly determined to be surly and uncommunicative with her. She has no idea why he treats her this way. Tegan has been on the run from a mobster and with the mobster’s death, she can finally establish herself in the city. After Tegan has her car blown up, she realizes that the danger is not over. Aaron realizes what he could have lost with his avoidance of his building attraction for her. Aaron is a valued employee of Red Stone. He is also a single father, who had his wife walk out on him and their son. He is determined to protect Tegan and their future.

Thoughts: I’ve read a number of books in the Red Stone Security series…though I may have missed one or two. By far, this one is my favorite so far. This one drew you in a little bit more than prior ones and I enjoyed the added addition of a child. Being a single dad, Aaron was just a different character, and the fact that their romance included concern for the little boy’s emotions was a plus for me. The chemistry between Tegan and Aaron really pulled at me and gave me that connection to the story and the characters, and the HEA ending was a clincher! Loved it!
