This starts with a kidnapping, Then, years later, the boy's brother Joel disappears. His wife doesn't think he went voluntarily and she hires Danny, who doesn't seem to be the sort of person who could do it, to find him. This brings Danny back into contact with Eva, a prosecutor with whom he has a back story (no spoilers). It's a twisty good read that will keep you guessing.

This thriller first starts with the disappearance of a young child. A father is trying to get his children home but one of the boys wants to take the stairs rather than the escalator. A helpful woman sees the father struggling with the decision and suggests she can walk with the young boy. When the father steps out of the elevator with his other child, the young boy is nowhere to be seen. Fast forward to present day and now another disappearance tied to the one that happened many years ago needs to be solved. Enter, Danny Katz a former drug addict but brilliant translator who uncover a lot of secrets. A good thriller from a Sweden.

This story starts out in 1970 in a Subway station where two boys are with their dad when one of them gets taken by a strange woman and is never seen again. Flash to present day where now the other brother has gone missing under similar circumstances. His wife seeks out a family friend to help find him but is he the only one looking for him? I enjoyed this novel after the first couple chapters that were slow moving but gradually got better.
