A really promising first half quickly let down by an over the top second half. The idea of a story about a storykiller was ver original an£ whilst I was reserving my judgement on the characters they were all interesting. The plot started so well but I did end up disappointed.

What a surprise this book was? I missed it when it first came out and just read it.
It is a first-time book by Mr. Hunter but reads like an author with a lot of confidence.
Everything hovers on the unbelievable but who am I to say--he is the journalist.
It read quickly, was a lot of fun, and it says there will be a second in the series although I have yet to
find it.

This was an interesting and fast paced read. In light of our world today, this story seems entirely possible. The plot was good and it kept my attention.
Many thanks to Silvertail Books and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I've been trying to make myself read/finish this book for a year. I finally decided I'm not interested anymore. At first I was. I liked the writing. But the story took to long for me. I had a different idea of what it was going to be and after 47% I can officially say I tried and gave it a fair shot. But It just isn't for me.

An interesting, quick read. Held my attention from the beginning to the end.

The idea behind the novel was appealing and interesting. It definitely got me interested in the first place and I liked the fact that is was different from the classical hard-boiled detective Harry-Boschquesque style. The writing was ok but it kind of fell flat to me and failed at keeping me hooked. I didn't finish it so I can't judge for the whole book but after 50%, I still wasn't convinced.
Maybe the ending would have proven me wrong, but I guess i'll never know.
