The blurb sounded interesting so I was pleased when I was approved by Netgalley to read it.

Unfortunately the book did not live up to the blurb. It started out well with the big reveal that Bailey's perfect fiance was transgender & the storyline seemed very promising. For me the story fell a bit flat and was unnecessarily drawn out.

Not my favourite 🙁

Enjoyable read. Characters are likable. Plot is interesting.

This book has a very interesting premise, this is a story of a TV lifestyle host who's perfectly controlled life doesn't stay that way for too long. This is book #1 of a series so maybe that's why I was a bit disappointed with the speed at which the book progressed, There was a lot of attention to detail and character development and then I felt that the last quarter of the book was rushed with so much happening in such short space. Perhaps it will make sense with book #2 in the series but I felt something was missing when I finished.

4 STARS

I love lifestyle and home renovation TV shows, so when I read Domestic Goddess' blurb, I knew I had to read it. And guess what? I was not disappointed!
I couldn't put down, mainly because of Bailey and Max's chemistry, they were such an awesome couple. Definitely recommend it if you're looking for a fun and light read with great characters.

After I struggled a bit in the beginning, this book turned out to be absolutely brilliant. The characters were great, the plot was great, not too unique but great nonetheless and the end made me very happy.
This book was quite quick to read as well so it was great light reading in between my stressful university studies.
All in all, this was a brilliant book!

This book was a very easy and quick read. Bailey Holmes plans to use part of the property, belonging to her aunts, for a new TV show. The only downside for Bailey is that her aunts insist that she involves Max, the ace project manager/carpenter, and they do not exactly hit it off!
There are many likeable supporting characters, the humour is light and there are some very entertaining moments.
Good for a rainy afternoon or a beach read.

I tried to get into the story but couldn't swing it after the first few chapters unfortunately it was just ok and I dnf. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for a honest review.
