“Rogue Threat” eBook was published in 2016 and was written by A. J. Tata (http://www.ajtata.com). Mr. Tata has published seven novels. This is the second in his “Threat” series.

I categorize this novel as ‘R’ because it contains scenes of Violence and some Mature Situations. The story is about a Special Operation operator, Matt Garrett. He is still recovering from the wounds suffered during the mission described in book #1, ’Sudden Threat’.

Islamic Terrorists are discovered to be planning new and potentially devastating attacks against the US. Garrett is put on their trail. He is also searching for missing drones that it is feared will be used to deliver weapons of mass destruction agains US targets. Two beautiful young women enter his life helping him in his pursuit of Terrorists, but he is not sure if he can truly trust either. They are not the only players in the US intelligence structure that he is not confident in.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 10 hours I spent reading this 338 page thriller. I liked the characters. I also liked the good job the author did of keeping the suspense up until near the end. There was plenty of action and intrigue throughout the story. The cover art does a good job of implying the threat from the missing drones, but the story goes far beyond this. I give this novel a 4.8 (rounded up to 5) out of 5.
