A meticulously researched and in-depth exploration of Jewish radicalism before the Holocaust put an end to all hopes and aspirations. Although it is a scholarly work there is a host of personal anecdotes to engage the attention of a more casual reader, but essentially this is a book for those already invested in the subject. I learnt a lot but sometimes found the reading heavy-going.
