poignant articles in a wide variety of topics. the articles will force you to examine and question so many different things in your life and in the world. a few articles have been adapted into movies. So, worth the time and read

A nice and engaging read. Informative as well as entertaining. Enjoyed it!
Hope to read more such mags.

A nicely curated collection of magazine articles (it's still hard, as a plus 40, to think of websites as magazines, but that is a conversation for another day) that runs the gamut of subjects, but lands heavily on the super bummer. This is some outstanding investigative journalism and those paths don't normally lead to the happiest places on earth; just be prepared to feel gut punched and scared (especially if you have any fear of earthquakes). A great way to be introduced to new writers.

What a great collection! It seems there's something here that will appeal to every student in my nonfiction or technical writing courses. I like using an anthology like this one to let students choose an article to discuss and evaluate in self-organized groups. I especially wanted to read the article on coding and the article on the Ebola crisis, and I also felt compelled to closely read about large earthquakes and the personal essay titled "The Friend." I'll recommend each of those to my students.
