"The Story People" is a very well written book. Although it didn't necessarily keep my interest, I think there are many people who would enjoy this book!

Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of Christian books, but this one surprised and delighted me in many different ways. Being a bookish person, I can't resist a good yarn about books and this was very well thought out and pleasant to read.

This book has a large pool of characters and their lives intersect in entertaining ways. I liked the main character and the way the story unfolded. The bookshop was described well and much of what went on in the story happened either directly or indirectly in relation to that location, which, kept me turning pages.

There are mysteries to be solved in this novel, love stories both old and new and the bonds of friendship, sometimes unusual friendships formed during the course of reading. This was a nice way to spend an afternoon and if you are looking for something soul warming and a bit different, this might be just the thing you have been searching for.

I liked it, even more than I thought I would.

This review is based on a complementary copy from the publisher, provided through Netgalley. All opinions are my own.

The Story People is all a story needs. It has the romance, the struggles and dreams of real people, embedded in a sweet story. The characters have to cope with being lonely, too busy, misunderstood but it wasn't a miserable story at all. I think the Story People has the potential to give you hope in times of stuggle with the funny and entertaining story that will lead you into the world of
Palermo's Books. It was an easy and fast read i can recommend everyone who wants to read an endearing love story - and everything else a great book has to offer.

I received a free advance copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I fear I will do this book a disservice. I am not the intended audience, so I did not enjoy it. From the blurb on Netgalley I was expecting a fantasy, not Christian romance. I can certainly see that this would appeal to fans of Christian romance, or possibly even fans of C.S. Lewis, though it is not quite in the same league as Lewis. However, I must admit that it did nothing for me.

The characters were beautifully intertwined, with love and forgiveness shown. The character development was remarkable and I can't wait for the sequel.
